Craft tissue papers are nice to work with. They are soft but strong, and are best for making tissue paper pom poms and flowers.
To make a paper pom pom, take a stack of 8 to 10 sheets of tissue paper, already cut to the size you want. Place and align each sheet of paper on top of another sheet.
Starting from the edge of one side of the stack of papers, make a fold of 1.5cm wide from the edge.
Turn the stack over and fold again. Continue folding the tissue paper stack until you reach the end of the paper.
With a string, tie the paper in the center of the stack.
Trim the corners of the paper to give them a rounded look.
Open up the folded paper on each side so that it looks like a bow.
Now, pull out the first sheet of paper on one side.
Then pull out one sheet on the other side.
Continue pulling out all the sheets of paper on the top and bottom until you get a round paper pom pom.
Tissue paper pom poms can be used for parties, weddings, birthdays and other special occasions.
